Let's take part together in the celebration of La Fête Nationale.

We propose the following:


  • 3:00pm Meet up by the Segway kiosk at the entrance to the Parc de la Citadelle.
  • 3:30pm Concert de l’Harmonie Municipale, Jardin Vauban.
  • 5:30pm Défilé militaire, Boulevard de la Liberté
  • 8:00pm Dinner at Guinguette de la Marine‎
  • 22:30pm Fireworks at Champ de Mars

If you'd like to join us please confirm by the end of Sunday 12th July as we need to book a table in the restaurant on time.

      “ The afternoon started a bit slowly with a concert in the park and a long wait for the parade to commence. But the day was lovely, sunny and warm, and the company was fun. After the defile we headed back down to the canal for a refreshing round of bears on the terrace of the Corfu bar. The day ended fabulously with specialities of local cuisine in La guinguette de la marine and a beautiful set of fireworks on the night sky above the Champ de Mars. Yet the highlight of the evening was, by no doubt, the virtuous performance of a Claude François impersonator (do google it if you are not familiar with this French gem, it's worth the effort). One of the friends said that he learned more about French culture that evening than during his many months of living and working in France ... I absolutely agree :) ”
